Lightning Ball

Evolution's new live lottery, launched in August 2024, introduces significant changes. First and foremost, the name Lightning Lotto has now been replaced by Lightning Ball. The well-known nighttime ambiance of the Lightning games remains, offering a fast-paced and user-friendly experience, with real-time highlighting of the best tickets. Additionally, the return-to-player (RTP) rate has been enhanced, increasing by 1% to now reach 97.03%.

How Does a Lightning Ball Draw Take Place?

To participate, the player must purchase between 1 and 200 tickets, with prices ranging from €0.01 to €100. Each ticket consists of 6 numbers, with the last number corresponding to the ball that draws the PowerBall.

The draw unfolds in three stages, using two large lottery machines. The first machine contains 30 numbered black balls, from which 5 are drawn. Then, the host activates the central lever, spinning the Lightning multiplier reel, which can reach up to 50x.

The second machine contains 10 numbered white balls. Only one ball is drawn, determining the PowerBall that applies to the sixth number on each ticket. Tickets with the sixth number matching the PowerBall then benefit from the Lightning multiplier.

What's New in Lightning Ball?

While regular players of Lightning Lotto may not appreciate some of the changes to the game's structure, the chances of winning smaller amounts have significantly improved.

More Balls in Play: The total number of balls has increased from 25 to 30 in Lightning Ball.

More Frequent Wins: In Lightning Ball, you only need two matching numbers to start winning (1:1), compared to three balls required in Lightning Lotto.

Lower Volatility: Although you win more often in Lightning Ball, Lightning Lotto allowed for higher payouts due to the possible combination of two multipliers.

Improved Return-to-Player Rate: The RTP has increased from 96.08% to 97.03%, providing a clear advantage for players compared to the previous "Lotto" version.

Fewer Tickets Available: The number of tickets per game is now limited to 200, down from 500 previously.
